From the old family cookbook: various soups, homemade tagliatelle with wild boar ragu, roasted pork fillet with bay leaves, grilled meats, selection of cheeses and ricotta, local fried greens, vegetables in sweet and sour sauce, famous caponata, snacks fried in batter, blancmange with traditional biscuits “taralle” and many more local dishes to try.
In the hands of chef Marco food becomes an experience of luxury. You can book him for special occasions, to try his cuisine fusion with Greek, Roman, Arabic, Spanish and Bourbon inspirations.
This is the Wunder way to start the day: rich, genuine, sweet and salty, prepared with care. A homemade buffet style breakfast: steaming pies, biscuits, yoghurt, fruit salad, marmalades, frittatas. Served also fresh cheeses, milk, fruit juice and muesli. It is hard to leave the table!
In Dimora dei Frati and at Forest Lodge the kitchen is shared with our guests and offers a seasonal menu and experiences with new things to choose from every day, for guests to discover what food suits them best. On request we can prepare a personalised menu for kids, coeliacs, vegetarians, vegans and for all those curious about Sicilian cuisine.
